Lifeguards: The Paris-Bourbon County YMCA is currently seeking Lifeguards for morning, early afternoon positions & for the summer season. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and have YMCA or Red Cross lifeguard certification. The positions are part-time (up to 40 hours per week). Child Care Teachers: The Paris-Bourbon County YMCA is currently seeking child-care teachers for the YMCA Child Development Center. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; significant child care experience is desired. The positions are part-time (30-35 hours a week). Summer Day Camp Counselors: The Paris-Bourbon County YMCA is currently seeking seasonal, full-time employees (May-August) to serve as day camp counselors. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; experience working with children is preferred. Apply in person at the YMCA, 917 Main Street in Paris.

YMCA Summer Camp Director: The Paris-Bourbon County Y is seeking a Seasonal, full-time employee (May-August) to direct its day camp. Director will supervise counselors and direct camp operations, adhering to Y guidelines, policies & curriculum. This position maintains the camp environment, ensuring campers’ well being and providing a positive experience. Must be 18 or older. H.S. diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with kids, preferably in a camp setting.

Summer Camp Community Gardener: Experienced gardener and community organizer to help maintain and coordinate a community garden and nutrition education program for children during the summer. Our ideal candidate for this position likes working with children, has an interest in supporting them in their abilities to grow healthy, fresh food and teaching them to prepare easy snacks and meals. Must be 18 or older, gardening experience required.

Summer Camp Bus Driver: Serves as a bus driver to transport program participants and staff to field trips and park during summer camp. Will need to be available May-August. Must possess a valid license to operate a commercial vehicle (CDL with passenger endorsement as well as licensed to drive a stick shift bus). Must be able to pass criminal background checks, tb skin test, and a drug screen. Will also need to provide us a copy of either Kentucky Driver History Records or Driver History Records through the state transportation agency that issued the drivers license.
